Krita 5.1.0 For Free Final Lifetime Version
We are very pleased to introduce a new feature in Krita version 5.1.0. A new advanced clip mode for Photoshop. The new Photoshop clip modes are as such: Clip – Extend Layer, Clip – New Layer, Clip – New Extended Layer and Clip – New Layer. This makes a lot of sense, with the use of layers. It really does make sense. You can manage and store multiple layers in a canvas. This means you can change or manipulate multiple layers using a single layer – similar to the way you can now use multiple Windows.
The one-click feature for creating and modifying layers has received a lot of attention in the last few versions. While it is fairly easy to modify a layer in the wrong way (placing multiple selections for instance), it can get very tricky to use the one-click feature properly. In Krita 5.1, the number of clicks required to create a single layer has been cut down to a single mouse click. You can modify the layers by clicking and dragging around on the canvas and even cut, copy and paste it by selecting the layer you wish to modify.
Besides the many new features that came with the last major release, Krita now has branch selection enabled. That means you can now select a region of an image to be edited. This is great for many things, like selecting regions on Krita, or when drawing. You can select regions for instance to create ink brushes, to cut them up or delete them completely. We have been using the feature internally for a long time. We are excited to present it to you as a new feature in Krita 5.1.
The line layer feature has finally been implemented in Krita. This means you can select and modify connected lines in such a way that their points connect seamlessly, much like you can now unify multiple shapes on a canvas. The line layer feature is working as intended, it is stable and you can merge multiple line layers together too.

I want to share a video tutorial on how to quickly add a T-Shirt and Fashion texture to your digital painting in Krita. I made the video for this tutorial because I spend a lot of time in my 2D art process and sometimes I feel that I do too much of the repetitive process. I want to share with you my technique that I use every single day with my work. We’ll have five of these for five minutes. There will be video tutorials, live demonstrations, and more. I will cover different ways in which you can achieve the same end result. You will learn how to:
- Create a T-shirt texture
- Create a fashion texture
- Using the fashion texture to fill a surface
- Create a tag
- Create a texture for your artwork
When Krita’s new vectorization engine was starting to go stable in Krita 5.1.0, I also added a new feature to the composition window- the Live Colors feature. Its a quick and easy way to set up the colors of a particular layer. The feature is similar to Gimp’s Color Picker, but as an artist, I think this is a really useful feature. Ive made a video tutorial with more details:
I am one of the 6 GSoC and 7 In-Krita-sity students who worked on Krita 5.1.0. I started doing the Porting work for Krita 5.0.x and learned more about Krita development. I wrote Krita’s file-viewer, the new way to draw on canvas, and the new canvas transformation. While working on the file-viewer, I figured out how to extract the cachelines from the original Krita 5.0 file which is used to share user preferences and extensions. Then, it was really interesting to learn about the user-customization in Krita by knowing the krita.xcassets that made by the Krita team. A couple of students worked on the new edit tool. One student has worked on the eraser tool, and the other one has worked on the selection tool. Before the development on Cracked Krita Download 5.1.0, I planned to contribute to Krita community while participating GSoC.
Main benefits of Krita 5.1.0
Krita has been improved to make it work better with Microsoft Windows 10.
It has been simplified, but at the same time it supports even more file formats thanks to the use of DirectShow Filters.
Krita now automatically creates a new.kra file when loading or saving a document, this is especially useful when you work with an external.kra file that has been created by another version of Krita.
Starting in Krita 5, color management and image editing can be handled very similarly, and this brings new possibilities for print work, movies, commercial productions, web graphics, and more. Krita can now do direct conversion of RGB values to sRGB, and does precise color matching even for CMYK or other ICC profiles.
Krita can now import multiple files at once with the new tabbed file manager window, and you can do the same from the commandline. Using
import //usr/share/krita/source/koffice/img/utils/mime.xml you can now import up to 18 files at once, which has major benefits for batch processing, and for frequent updates to your Krita file library in Krita. You can also connect to a remote git repo. If you ever forget where you put one of your favorite files, you can tell Krita to search for it using
import /usr/share/krita/source/koffice/img/utils/mime.xml //home/user/github-repo/file.kra Thanks to all the contributors for this great improvement!
The first self-contained style/value setting engines have been put into Krita. This greatly improves the efficiency of editing styles, and it allows Krita to write and read the style value graphically in the style dialog.
